Reefer Peterbilt is looking for a Parts Delivery Driver. This individual must be courteous, friendly, and outgoing. They must strive to provide exceptional customer service to our wholesale customers and vendors. No prior experience is required; however, it is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver and pick up parts and equipment to customers and vendors in a timely and efficient manner
• Help maintain the professional appearance of the business
• Maintain the basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle including servicing, oil, gas, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must have general computer knowledge and the ability to learn the inventory system
• Must be physically able to lift and transport parts
• Must be willing to learn to operate a forklift as needed
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check

This self-motivated individual will perform a variety of skilled maintenance repairs and tasks, along with basic ground maintenance. Prior experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Managing repairs and maintenance, general upkeep of the building both inside and outside
• Cleaning and maintaining the sales office, parts department, and service department
• Assistance in overseeing the maintenance supplies
• Perform troubleshooting on equipment as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be mechanically inclined

• Open and close work orders providing as much information as possible
• Help cover phone calls for the Service Department
• Schedule appointments
• Check in new trucks delivered to the shop and complete the proper forms
• Consult with the parts department on special order parts and sublet repairs
• Instruct the following shift’s service writer on any special instructions and appointments
• Keep Service Manager informed of all customer complaints and technician problems

Responsibilities:

• Effectively perform maintenance and part replacement procedures
• Ability to test, diagnose and repair components and electrical systems of tractors and trailers
• Proficiently repair all major power and drive train components
• Repair and adjust brake systems
• Maintain a clean and safe environment that complies to OSHA and company standards, as well as within all DOT safety requirements
• Perform road tests to ensure quality repair service is performed – dependent upon having a CDL
• Contribute to the top productivity and efficiency in the department
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Knowledge of diesel tractors and diagnostics
• State of Michigan certifications
• Possess strong communication and troubleshooting skills, combining personal experience with broad knowledge of Electronic Control Module diagnostic programming

Responsibilities:

• Sell parts to retail and wholesale customers over the counter, through the service department, and on the telephone
• Identify parts by utilizing electronic, internet-based parts catalogs
• Pull purchased parts from stock
• Identify parts availability, locate, and submit orders for any parts not in stock in order to fill orders in the most efficient and accurate way
• Track all parts on order
• Contribute to the top productivity and efficiency in the department
• Perform other duties as assigned
